Summary of Position

Erlang Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Junior Project Manager to join our delivery team. You will need to be methodical and organised, unprepared to accept the status quo and always seek to significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques.

As the Junior Project Manager, you will provide support to the delivery team who are responsible for delivering change projects, take responsibility for developing and owning key artefacts, manage own deliveries to demanding and often conflicting deadlines. Finally, work alongside a range of stakeholders to drive forward improvements to promote best practice.

The Junior Project Manager will work with cross functional teams to ensure that requirements are aligned to both clients and internal strategy, and development occurs in line with requirements. Getting under the skin of an issue is critical. Our ability to deliver at speed is grounded in a fundamental understanding of the challenges faced by our clients. Being tenacious, and willing to challenge the assumptions of even the most senior of our clients is important.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects (Scope, Budget, Timeline, Risks, Issues, Reporting) of projects and streams of work.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish priorities and allocate tasks, whilst meeting project targets and milestones.

• Be clear and articulate well in both written and verbal communication.

• Be comfortable presenting to project stakeholders.

• Define and improve documentation standards and processes.

Experience required:

• Must have a minimum of 1 years’ industry experience in a Junior Project Manager / Project Support or Co-ordinator role in a software environment.

• Ability to work under pressure, manage challenging situations and time critical activities. Multi-tasking skills are essential.

• Commercially and financially astute with experience of understanding budgets.

• Well versed in communicating with 'Virtual’ teams geographically and across functions.

• Solid understanding of Agile and waterfall methodologies

• Desirable Prince2 or Scrum Master certification.

• Jira, Confluence and other collaboration tools experience is a plus.

• Experience in remote-first collaboration and project management.
