Business Growth Manager in Messaging Solutions
As the Business Growth Manager within the newly created messaging unit of a multinational company, you’ll face the exciting challenge of shaping our business value proposition and executing our go-to-market strategy across international markets. Serving as a key advocate for our human to human and human to computer messaging solutions, you will represent MongooseIM, our open-source messaging server, and focus on building relationships with potential customers, identifying business opportunities, and supporting our growth strategy within key markets. You will work closely with the senior leadership team on business value propositions, budgets, and team composition, acting as second in command to the business unit leader.
Location: Remote first, based in Krakow (Poland)
Remuneration: Competitive salary + bonus based on performance

Responsibilities:
Drive the expansion of Erlang Solutions’ messaging offerings by targeting businesses that need high-performance, scalable solutions.
Actively seek new business opportunities through outbound activities in h2h and h2c messaging space, identifying and approaching potential customers across relevant industries and markets.
Promote MongooseIM as a leading platform for scalable messaging solutions.
Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer pain points, and competitor offerings, leveraging insights to enhance our messaging products and positioning.
Collaborate with project managers, marketing, and technical teams to develop tailored solutions that align with customer needs and our growth strategy.
Lead contract discussions and pricing negotiations to close deals.
Attend industry conferences and events to promote our messaging solutions and generate new leads.
Collaboration and Relationship Building:
Work closely with the Marketing and Delivery teams to enhance brand awareness and maximize the conversion of inbound and outbound leads.
Proactively nurture relationships with customers and market influencers to create growth opportunities and enhance our reputation.
Develop and execute a plan for sustainable revenue and gross profit growth to establish a solid foundation for future scaling.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, promoting long-term, scalable relationships and influencing their technology strategies.
Collaborate with Trifork business units and partners to identify opportunities for product enhancement and market expansion.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the tech industry, specifically in messaging solutions for B2B customers, with a strong track record of solution selling.
A Bachelor’s degree or MSc in IT, Engineering, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages, including German or Dutch, is a plus.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts in business terms.
Excellent interpersonal skills, self-driven, and effective time management capabilities, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events.
Experience leading and/or working closely with a technical team is a plus.
Technical Knowledge (Desirable):
Understanding of software development and delivery.
Familiarity with messaging protocols (such as XMPP, MQTT, AMQP) and messaging platforms.
Understanding of open source technologies and licences.
Skills & Experience:
Proficient in master challenger/value selling, with the ability to adapt to various customer types and mentor team members to maintain customer confidence and trust.
Strong understanding of business processes and the application of technology to optimize efficiency, customer service, and profitability.
Preference for experience in start-ups/scale-ups, thriving in high-paced, agile environments while achieving short-term results that support long-term success.
Comfortable engaging with all business levels, from team members to C-Suite executives, with empathy for their priorities and decision-making processes.
Commitment to scaling the business, balancing rapid gains with long-term strategy development.
Passion for self and team development to enhance skills, increase growth capacity, and uphold principles through collaborative efforts and constructive challenges.
